The wakeup pipe will not deliver the completed work e.g. the contents of a file that's been read. It will only deliver a single byte (literally 1) to signal that some work has been done. The async file jobs are stored in a linked list that contains the resolve and reject JSValues and the bytes that have been read. But more on that when we get to async I/O.
